Barry Medintz

As General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for CentralSquare, Barry manages all legal and governance matters for the company. He focuses on Mergers & Acquisitions, Corporate Governance, Litigation, Labor & Employment, Intellectual Property, Commercial Transactions, Regulatory and Compliance matters. He also oversees the company’s Insurance and Risk Management programs as well as Corporate Development.

Barry joins CentralSquare after serving as the General Counsel & Corporate Secretary of Rubicon, LLC, a leading cloud-based provider of waste and recycling solutions and SaaS products for Fortune 500 companies, small businesses and city governments. Prior to Rubicon, Barry was Senior Vice President, General Counsel & Company Secretary at Recall Holdings Ltd., a global information management company, and he helped lead Recall through a spinoff onto the public markets from its former parent, Brambles, Ltd., and then a $2.7B acquisition by its largest competitor, Iron Mountain. Previously, Barry spent 10 years at Motorola advising several global business units, served as Trademark Licensing Counsel at The Coca-Cola Company, and he began his legal career as an associate in the Washington, DC office of Perkins Coie LLP.

Barry earned his B.A. with distinction in History and Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and his J.D. from The Emory University School of Law where he was elected to the Order of Barristers. He is a member of the Georgia, Illinois and District of Columbia Bar Associations, and serves on the Board of Directors for the Society for Corporate Governance.
