CentralSquare Technologies Expands Property Tax Software Solution in Ontario, Canada

Six Municipalities Utilize CentralSquare’s Integrated Tax System for Improved Citizen-Facing Technology

Lake Mary, FL (May 20, 2022) — CentralSquare Technologies, an industry leader in public sector technology, announced that six municipalities in Ontario, Canada, have selected CentralSquare’s Property Tax solution, including the Town of Caledon, the City of St. Catharines, the City of Burlington, the City of Guelph, the City of Windsor, and the Town of Oakville.

Over the past year, CentralSquare has made significant strides in enhancing its position in the public administration marketplace through new business opportunities, developing client product portfolios and strengthening customer relationships. In March, CentralSquare expanded its offering of the successful Property Tax Software solution introducing it to the U.S. market.

“Our momentum in the public administration marketplace across North America is a key indicator more municipalities are investing in modern solutions to enhance their citizen experience,” said CentralSquare CEO David Zolet. “Our Property Tax Solution is a digital transformation that benefits both our customers and their constituents because it optimizes resources while keeping citizens at the center of service delivery.”

The Property Tax solution replaces legacy systems with a single, integrated Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud-based software to decrease corporate risk, enhance efficiency, and improve service delivery to constituents, including better citizen-facing technology such as portals and e-billing. CentralSquare has made significant strides in growing its Property Tax solution in Canada and was chosen as the preferred partner over Vailtech, CSDC Systems, Capgemini, and Tyler Technologies.

“We are excited to continue expanding our product solutions in Ontario that will help municipalities communicate with citizens for increased community engagement, more transparency, and streamlined processes,” said CentralSquare CPO Dara Brenner. “The property tax solution allows municipalities to collect taxes reliably and quickly using cloud-based municipal property tax software.”

Launched in January 2021, CentralSquare’s Property Tax solution has a proven track record of success for Chatham-Kent and Halton Hills in Ontario, Canada. The solution supported an entire tax cycle, creating significant efficiencies and reducing the risk associated with aging legacy systems for both agencies.

“Caledon looks forward to implementing a system that offers more efficient processes while modernizing our service delivery to our residents,” said Melissa Yardy, Supervisor of Data and Applications.
