Wicked Local: Weymouth student offers lesson on tracking crime

Weymouth High School senior Jake Stano said residents could know more about where crime is occurring in their neighborhood or elsewhere in the community if the town participates in Crime Mapping, an online computer program.

“It is an alert system,” he said during a presentation to town council on Feb. 19. “You can specify what alerts you want to receive. There is a filter system on the map where you can see a specific crime location and a date.”
