City of Allen Civic Alerts: Allen Invests $2.1 Million in Public Safety Software

Police dispatching and record-keeping is getting a major boost thanks to new technology.

Following an exhaustive search, Allen Police selected CentralSquare Technologies to help the department dispatch calls, make police reports, document evidence and keep other records. The $2.1 million price tag includes $706,000 in hardware to replace 10-year-old servers, along with $1.394 million in software and training.
