Fulton County, Georgia Transitions 911 Operations to CentralSquare’s Cloud-Based ONESolution

Nov 04, 2025

Cloud migration strengthens cybersecurity, ensures continuity of life-saving services, and prepares for Next Generation 911

Lake Mary, FL – November 4, 2025 – CentralSquare Technologies, a leading provider of public sector software in North America, today announced that Fulton County, Georgia, has successfully moved 911 operations to CentralSquare’s ONESolution cloud platform. This upgrade underscores Fulton County’s commitment to providing secure and resilient emergency response operations for one of the state’s largest counties.

In 2024, Fulton County experienced a cyberattack that disrupted government operations across the county, emphasizing the urgent need for a more robust 911 system. By moving 911 operations to the cloud, Fulton County has strengthened its ability to withstand threats and deliver uninterrupted public safety services to more than one million residents.

“You don’t want a cyber event. People don’t realize how important 911 is until they don’t have it,” said William Orgertrice, Division Chief for the county’s emergency services department. “Since moving to the cloud, 911 operations are not only more secure and efficient but better equipped to handle emergencies without interruption. This upgrade reflects Fulton County’s commitment to public safety, technological innovation, and proactive cybersecurity.”

Additionally, Fulton County gains enhanced functionality and tools that improve dispatch speed and accuracy, ultimately improving how quickly first responders can act. The platform also supports advanced Next Generation 911 (NG911) features, including text-to-911 and real-time data integration, providing residents with additional ways to communicate with emergency services. These capabilities are especially vital in situations where speaking may not be possible.

“Fulton County turned a disruptive cyber event into an opportunity to modernize,” said CentralSquare Technologies John Coltrain, Director, Product Management. “By moving to the cloud, Fulton County has built a more resilient system, one that ensures when someone calls for help, 911 is always there to answer.”
