In the final weeks of December, high school instructor Lori Henricksen is closing out the school semester by grading her students’ semester exams. It could be a routine task performed at any high school anywhere in the country, but these exams are unique. Henricksen runs the Emergency Telecommunications program at Veteran’s Tribute Career & Technical Academy (VTCTA) in Las Vegas, Nevada, where her passion for emergency dispatch is molding the next generation of 9-1-1 dispatchers.
