Silver City Daily Press: Sheriff’s working on new dispatch software

The Grant County Sheriff’s Office is working on getting a new Computer Aided Dispatch system to replace the outdated one the department uses now.

Mike Burns, public information officer for the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, said a CAD system is a database that contains data entry from calls received by the dispatch center.
