Hero in the Field, Champion to Customers: Meet Jason Foy

Meet Jason Foy, an Account Executive on CentralSquare’s Public Safety and Justice sales team, serving agencies across the Midwest. After three decades in law enforcement, Jason now helps public safety agencies solve problems, improve efficiencies, reduce response times, and enhance services for their communities.

Shaped by Experience

Jason spent 32 years in law enforcement, including 30 years as a sworn officer before retiring as deputy chief in his hometown of Rock Island, Illinois. He stayed on for two additional years as a project manager, leading a CentralSquare software migration. Encouraged by the CentralSquare salesperson he worked with, who is now his supervisor, Jason eventually joined the company more than three years ago. His experience working with city attorneys and elected leaders, as well as managing police department budgets, has proven invaluable in his current role.

“My law enforcement background, from patrol to leadership, gives me valuable insight into the needs of our customers,” Jason said.

“When I speak with agency leaders like sheriffs, they know I’ve been in their shoes, which builds trust and helps us have meaningful conversations about expected outcomes and transformational change.”

Making an Impact

Jason’s experience is helpful when supporting customers such as multi-agency collaborative implementations of CentralSquare’s Pro Suite. Having led a complex implementation at Rock Island that involved seven law enforcement agencies, five full-time fire departments, four Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs), and a federal entity, he understands the challenges and benefits of shared systems. He helps agencies align their vision and realize the value of collaboration.

Technology has come a long way since Jason’s early days in law enforcement, when everything was on paper, including field notes. Jason says tools like Mobile + Field Ops and Centerline AI offer real-time access and intelligent support that were unimaginable back then, including invaluable support to rural communities served by volunteer agencies.

“The good part about it is everything continues to develop. We’re always doing enhancements and adding things on, and that’s huge for these agencies,” Jason said.

Life at CentralSquare

Jason values the immense talent and strong culture of collaboration and teamwork at CentralSquare. Whether working with first responders or those from other backgrounds, he’s found that the team operates with unity and shared purpose.

“It feels a lot like being part of a law enforcement agency again,”

Jason said. “When something comes up, people drop what they’re doing to help. That kind of support starts at the top and carries through the entire company.”

That sense of teamwork has made his experience at CentralSquare both rewarding and familiar.
