Central Square Announces 2026 ENGAGE Award Winners Recognizing Outstanding Public Sector Achievements

Annual ENGAGE Conference Focuses on Innovation, Collaboration, and the Future of Public Sector Service 

Lake Mary, FL March 23, 2026 – CentralSquare Technologies, a leading provider of public sector software, announced the winners of its 2026 ENGAGE Awards at its annual ENGAGE usercommunity conference, held March 15–18 in Washington, D.C. The awards recognize public sector organizations and leaders for innovation, service, and meaningful impact on the communities they serve. 

This year’s honorees are: 

• Excellence in Resourcefulness Award – City of Tarpon Springs, FL 

• Innovation Excellence Award – City of Punta Gorda, FL 

• Smart Community Award – Ada County Highway District, Boise, Idaho 

• Smart Safety Award – Russ St. Myers, 911 Systems Administrator, South Metro, CO 

• User Group of the Year Award – South Dakota Public Safety User Group 

• Citizen Experience Award – Dan Hyman, Chief of Police, Ramapo Police Department, NY 

• Exemplary Service in 911 Award – Brunswick County Emergency Communications Center, Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office, NC

More than 1,400 government and public safety leaders from across the United States attended the conference, designed to help public sector organizations reset and build momentum for the year ahead. This year’s event focused on practical strategies, including leveraging cloud-based benefits, workflow automation, responsible use of artificial intelligence, workforce and retention challenges, and handson product training, with an emphasis on realworld solutions that improve operations, public safety response, and citizen experiences. 

In recognition of the award winners, CentralSquare donated to the Travis Mills Foundation. Mills, a retired U.S. Army Staff Sergeant and the foundation’s founder, delivered the conference’s keynote address, inspiring attendees with a message of resilience, purpose, and service.
