CentralSquare Appoints Brian Shannon as Chief Technology Officer

Veteran technology executive brings more than 30 years of experience in platform modernization, AI transformation and enterprise software innovation 

Lake Mary, FL (October 1, 2026) – CentralSquare Technologies, the leading provider of public sector software, today announced the appointment of Brian Shannon as Chief Technology Officer. Shannon will lead the company’s engineering and technology organization, accelerating platform modernization, advancing AI innovation and strengthening CentralSquare’s mission-critical technology solutions for Public Safety and Public Administration agencies. 

Shannon brings more than 30 years of technology and leadership experience architecting scalable platforms, executing AI transformations and driving operational excellence across global enterprise software organizations. Most recently, Shannon served as Chief Technology Officer at Flexera, where he unified technology architecture across more than 20 acquisitions, launched the Technology Intelligence Platform, built an AI-native product strategy and transformed a global engineering culture focused on predictable delivery, high product quality and cloud efficiency. 

Prior to Flexera, Shannon served as Vice President of Platform Engineering at ServiceNow, where he led platform engineering supporting a $4 billion business and helped scale key revenue-generating platform products. Earlier in his career, Shannon held senior executive roles at GE Healthcare’s API Healthcare, leading cross-functional teams across engineering, product management and user experience. Shannon holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of California, San Diego, and multiple patents in healthcare technologies.
